Year 12 - University webinar hosted by Universities of Lancaster, Exeter, Warwick, Keele and Cardiff

  For the last three years Lancaster University has joined forces with Exeter, Bath, Warrick, Keele and Cardiff to deliver two online HE AIG events. We’re doing the same this year. Here are the headlines:   What?:  2 x online events with the above Universities on a range of HE topics.  See flyer / programme attached. When?:   The first event is on  Saturday 2 nd  March.  The second event is on  Saturday 18 th  May .  Both events take place in the morning. Who?:  6 Universities in total (see above). How?:  A genuine collaborative effort. The events focus on HE talks and ambassador input. There will also be institution videos sent out to those who register prior to the first event. Why?:  To assist sixth form make informed choices and offer general HE support.

  BRITISH ARMY VOTED NUMBER 1 IN THE TOP 100 APPRENTICESHIP EMPLOYERS 2023 FOR THE THIRD YEAR RUNNING.   The British Army is the largest Employer Provider of Apprenticeships in the UK. We have close to 15,000 apprentices currently enrolled on apprenticeships from Level 2 to Level 6 across more than 40 different programmes. That means that over 95% of soldiers enroll on an apprenticeship scheme when they start their initial trade training.   Over 40+ Apprenticeships Schemes: We run over 40 different apprenticeship schemes, these apprenticeships will help you promote in the Army and will be valued by employers when you decide to move on.  The type of apprenticeship that you will do, will depend on your chosen role in the Army. Applications are now open for the Deloitte, Aspire Programme taking place in Manchester.  Location:  Manchester Dates:  22nd-24th July 2024 Year group:  Year 12 ASPIRE is designed to excite students about the huge possibilities on offer at Deloitte, no matter what their background. Deloitte have opportunities across their entire business, from Human Capital and Tax Consulting to Technology and Cyber so whatever their passion is they will find something that’s right for them.  Details: For ASPIRE in-person events, Deloitte will cover reasonable travel costs (for example journeys up to 1 hour each way).    Ada  Ada (The National College for Digital Skills)  is hosting a free, two-hour virtual masterclass focused on application success for technology apprenticeships. It will cover a range of topics including how to write a personal statement to help you stand out, how to approach common application questions and tips for writing tech apprenticeship applications. The masterclass has been designed using insights gained from our role as an apprenticeship training provider working with a range of employers including Deloitte, Bank of America, Cazoo and PwC.
