Leeds Futures is a national outreach programme designed for individual learners in Year 12 / Year 1. It provides students with the opportunity to learn more about a subject area they are interested in pursuing at university, whilst developing their study skills and careers awareness. Students enrolling on the programme choose to specialise in a particular subject area. They will then attend a variety of subject-related activities alongside receiving advice and guidance on practical matters such as UCAS applications, accommodation choices and student finance. Apply Leeds Futures programmes in Health Sciences will close on Sunday 21 January 2024. Leeds Futures programmes in Arts and Humanities, Environment, Social Sciences and STEM will close on Sunday 4 February 2024. Leeds Futures – Medicine and Dental are now closed. A pplications for this year’s Medicine Pathway Programme at Edge Hill University Medical School are now open! Please share this with your Year 12 students who may be interested in applying to study medicine at university. The programme consists of an on-campus visit to Edge Hill, online activity day and a residential summer school where students will stay at Edge Hill University and visit our partnering medical schools – University of Manchester, Lancaster University and University of Liverpool. More information, as well as a link to apply, can be found here . Funded by Health Education England, the programme is aimed at young people who are from under-represented backgrounds, and targets areas of England that have limited outreach engagement with medical schools. Students must meet specific eligibility criteria in order to take part in the programme, details can be found on the website under the ‘who can apply?’ section.
