Year 12 and 13 - Summer volunteering opportunities with the NHS
Our programme is now in its successful 3rd year and was initiated by the Volunteering Team of The Northern Care Alliance. From feedback and questionnaires we realised many students 16+ who had completed their exams, were looking for experience in the NHS during the few summer months before they resume their studies in September. Our programme has grown year on year and last year we recruited over 200 students across our 4 sites, Salford, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham. We are proud of our retention, many of the students now slotting shifts around their college weekly timetables.
