Creating Change – Social Sciences Summer School – Applications are now open!
The Social Sciences Summer School is a three-day, two-night residential, running from Wednesday 26 June - Friday 28 June 2024***.
This is the perfect opportunity for Year 12 students to explore a variety of social sciences subjects (including Environment, Geography, Sociology, Education, Politics and International Studies and Business) and live life as a university student.
The theme of our 2024 summer school is ‘Creating Change’ which will empower students to recognise the agency they have to influence positive societal change and inspire them to take action towards the future they want to see! Using both local, national and global case studies, our academic sessions will explore the diverse ways of implementing change – whether through democratic voting systems, policy change, advocacy or demonstrations to name just a few. The summer school will help students to consider the active role they can take in the present to lead to a better future!
**** Please note - as this is in college term time you would need to check with tutors re attendance
