Year 13 - Apprentice Business Administrator at OSFC
Apprentice Business Administrator - Employer Engagement
Full Time. Permanent, to start 21st August 2024
Salary: Circa £317 per week
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a confident “people person” to develop their career in sales, administration and marketing, alongside some event management.
The successful candidate must be confident and enjoy meeting new people. Although the role is varied and will involve a wide range of activities throughout the year, applicants must be confident speaking to employers over the phone, as this will be a big part of the job at certain times of the year.
The role involves building and developing relationships with employers, and to engage employers to support our students with work placements, employer talks, visits to workplaces and other employability activities.
You will also be supporting our Employer Engagement officer in the administration of work placements and other employability activities. Some of the varied tasks and activities could include:
Designing and creating publicity for Social Media, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, X and TikTok.
Maintaining and updating our work experience platform with student details, objectives and evaluations.
Contacting employers via the telephone and email, and via virtual meetings and workplace visits.
Helping to organise events, such as Business Networking Breakfasts, Conferences for curriculum areas/subjects and the college Futures Day.
Linking with subject course leaders and developing close working relationships.
Supporting students with DBS applications.
Preparing students for work experience placements.
Giving advice and support to students on CVs, applications and LinkedIn profiles.
The Advanced Level apprenticeship in Business Administration is a brilliant way to develop the skills and knowledge to work in a wide variety of business related areas and, for the right person, there is also the opportunity to progress to a Higher Apprenticeship. This could be in a business related area, or if you find you enjoy the student support side of the job, there is the opportunity to do a Higher Apprenticeship in Advice and Guidance.
To apply, please email your CV with a covering letter explaining how you meet the person specification to kre@osfc.ac.uk
