Year 12 and 13 - AON Business and Finance Work Insight (October half term)

AON, a global professional services firm, are offering their three-day Work Insights Programme to year 12 and 13 students in Manchester during October half term (Tuesday 22nd October, Thursday 24th October, and Friday 25th October). Students who participate in the programme will have access to exclusive support to apply to Aon apprenticeships.

The Work Insights Programme aims to help students understand and experience the world of Financial and Professional services, so that they can explore a career in this sector. It also aims to inspire and arm young people with practical experience that will help them make better decisions for their future careers.

Students who participate in the Work Insights Programme and express interest in applying for an apprenticeship at Aon will receive exclusive support in their applications, through having opportunities signposted to them as soon as possible and being offered coaching calls.

We would specifically recommend this opportunity to any students who are interested in careers within the corporate world, especially in business or finance, or those who are interested in exploring apprenticeships after they finish year 13.

The 3-day programme will be hosted in Aon’s offices in Manchester on Tuesday 22nd October, Thursday 24th October, and Friday 25th October. Students will participate in direct mentorship with Aon employees, develop their teamwork skills by working on group projects, and engage in company-wide networking. Lunch will be provided, and travel will be reimbursed.

There was a 22% increase in the number of students who would consider a career in financial services at the end of the programme compared to the beginning.

Last year, 89% of students agreed or strongly agreed that they’d recommend the programme to another students.

“I really enjoyed speaking to a variety of mentors who worked in multiple sectors... The ability to ask questions greatly aided in distinguishing which career paths would be suitable for myself.”
