1 Million Mentors

 As a college, we work closely with an organisation called 1 Million Mentors, who provide mentors from a range of career backgrounds to help coach and motivate on a one to one basis.  


These mentors are from all sorts of career backgrounds and 1MM will try to match you to someone based on the career fields you have experience in/want to progress in/want to study at university.


1MM currently have mentors in the following fields:


  • Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology

  • Government and public administration, Retail and customer services

  • Business, management and administration

  • Education and Training

  • Hospitality and tourism

  • Retail and customer services

  • Computing and ICT

  • Marketing and sales


If you are interested in progressing in any of the above careers, then this programme is for you!


Once completed the experience can go on university applications and your C.V, It is a wonderful opportunity to create some great contacts within your chosen career field and students who have completed it so far have really enjoyed the sessions.

Year 12 - Work Experience in Private Equity, Finance or Asset Management - Deadline is 15th March

  Year 12 Students Students will be assigned to a  two-day work experience  in Asset Management & Finance, delivered in partnership with Barings.   Dates:  6th & 7th August  Students may be based anywhere in England but must attend in person in London on 7th August   Completion Award:  £30  Cash prizes available for the winning team challenge Year 12 students will also attend the same two-day  Application Preparation & Employability Skills Programme  (4th August virtual, 5th August in person).
