Join other students for this four-day virtual work experience hosted by Speakers for Schools!
You will meet professionals from key UK Government departments, including:
• The Cabinet Office
• Ministry of Defence
• Department for Work and Pensions
• Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs
• Land Registry
• The Home Office Intelligence (streaming live from overseas!)
What will I be doing?
• Discover the huge range of career routes that you could take, from being a Policy Advisor, to a Solicitor, Engineer, Business Analyst, Scientist, Liaison Officer, Head of Sustainability, Policy Advisor and many more.
• Learn how you could get in through their career-building pathways, including apprenticeships and the Fast Stream Graduate Programme, designed to help you grow your skills and build a rewarding career.
• Building your skills including listening, speaking, teamwork, aiming high, creativity and problem solving.
• Getting involved with activities, tasks, asking speakers questions and working on an industry related project.
Event Details:
• Dates: Monday 7th, Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th July.
• Time: 09:30 am to 2:30 pm each day (with comfort breaks and lunch)
• Platform: Virtual via Google Classrooms
