Role Details and Person Specification:



We are a small but growing accountancy firm in Oldham, looking for an Accounts/Tax apprentice to help look after our increasing portfolio of clients.


You will need to be an enthusiastic person with the willingness to learn, adopting company processes, supporting the team with administrative tasks as well as learning how to use relevant software to begin your career in accountancy. As this role will eventually lead into client facing scenarios, you will also need to be approachable and confident in communicating with colleagues and clients effectively throughout the year.


Requirements:

  • Minimum grade 4 in Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent)

  • Currently studying finance/accounting/business/mathematics or related field

  • Be willing to work towards professional accountancy and/or tax qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Have a meticulous attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word

  • Able to work to deadlines

  • Proactively participate in two-way communication regarding progress of work tasks and any issues with client and manager

  • Any previous work experience within an accountancy practice is desirable but certainly not essential
