Year 12 only - Virtual session. Find out about careers with the UK intelligence agencies (MI5, MI6 and GCHQ)

UPTREE are delighted to invite Year 12 students to an exclusive Virtual Insight Session with the UK’s Intelligence Agencies — MI5, MI6 and GCHQ. This online event is designed for students interested in STEM subjects and exploring early careers opportunities such as apprenticeships and junior development programmes.

Event Details

Please note that students will need to be British Citizens to be eligible for the event. 

During this session, students will:

  • Gain an introduction to the UK’s Intelligence Agencies
  • Learn about the different roles and focus areas of MI5, MI6 and GCHQ
  • Understand the security clearance process
  • Receive top tips for applications and interviews

This is a unique opportunity for students to get a behind-the-scenes look at how these agencies protect the UK and the diverse STEM-related career pathways available.

  Year 12 Students Students will be assigned to a  two-day work experience  in Asset Management & Finance, delivered in partnership with Barings.   Dates:  6th & 7th August  Students may be based anywhere in England but must attend in person in London on 7th August   Completion Award:  £30  Cash prizes available for the winning team challenge Year 12 students will also attend the same two-day  Application Preparation & Employability Skills Programme  (4th August virtual, 5th August in person).
