Y12/13 Gain experience, and make a difference in mental health research. Get Involved with Youth Connection

Good afternoon,

My name is Dr Heidi Tranter and I work in digital mental health research at the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Manchester. As part of my role I coordinate and facilitate a young people’s advisory group called ‘Youth Connection’ to help young people (aged 14-24) develop research skills and have the opportunity to contribute to real-time research.

Key points about the group:

  • All facilitators are Enhanced DBS Checked and I have completed NHS Level 3 Child Safeguarding Training
  • Session content will be tailored based on age to make sure this is appropriate
  • Sessions are delivered both online and face-to-face at the University of Manchester

Please note 👉 this opportunity is open to any young person who wants to volunteer NOT JUST DofE, gain experience, and make a difference in mental health research.
