Free digital music sessions for young people – Fitton Hill Library

  Information from Chris Durkin , professional music producer and community music facilitator based in Greater Manchester.  Chris has been commissioned by Peshkar to deliver a creative project in Oldham as part of the  Young Digitals Festival 2026 (YDF26) , is running a series of free digital music sessions at Fitton Hill Library this March. These sessions are open to young people aged 11+ and will give them the chance to explore what celebration means to them through songwriting, beat-making and live collaborative music creation. No experience is needed.  Tuesday 3, 10, 17 & 24 March  3:30pm-4:30pm  Fitton Hill Library, Fitton Hill Neighbourhood Centre, Fircroft Rd, Oldham OL8 2QD Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to original music that will be showcased as part of YDF26.

Good morning, This is a reminder that the NHS Allied Healthcare Work Experience begins this Sunday 1st March from 9:30am - 5pm. We strongly encourage students in years 10/11/12 & 13 considering healthcare to register ahead of this weekend. A strong record of work experience is crucial to all allied health careers, so we would be very grateful if you could forward this to your students.
