Year 13 only - HSBC - Banking Apprenticeships now open for applications


 Applications are now open for HSBC’s Degree Apprenticeship (Level 6) — a great option if you want to start earning while you learn and build real experience in banking.

APPLICATIONS OPEN: Monday 28th September (Programme starts: November 2027)

This is a paid, permanent role from day one and a strong starting point for a career in banking. We hire for skills and potential; we look at motivation/strengths and teach technical skills. Across the programme, you’ll move through different placements and projects, giving you the chance to explore a range of teams and work areas, build confidence, and see what suits you best — with structured development throughout.




Key programme details

  • Fully funded (no tuition fees): University of Exeter BSc (Hons) Applied Retail and Commercial Banking + Level 6 Financial Services Professional Apprenticeship
  • Programme length: 4 years
  • Working pattern: hybrid working min 60% (3 days/week) at placement location
  • Eligibility: A-Levels BCC (top 3) or equivalent; 5 GCSEs grade 4/C+ incl. Maths + English Language
