Dear Colleague
We’re growing our Student Advisory Group and we need your help.
AQA’s Student Advisory Group is a team of passionate young people who help shape the future of education at AQA. From making assessments more accessible to improving diversity in our specifications, their voices make a real impact.
Why join?
Student Advisors gain valuable experience, build confidence, and develop skills that stand out on CVs and university applications. They can also use AQA as a reference for future opportunities.
Zainab Ali, the Student Chair, said:
“ The Student Advisory Group gives us a real seat at the table with one of the UK’s biggest exam boards. We get to explore bold ideas, challenge thinking, and witness our inputs turn into real-time improvements for students nationwide. If you’re eager to be part of shaping the future of education, this is a chance you don’t want to miss! "
Who we’re looking for:
We’d like your help in spreading the word about this great opportunity. We’re looking for students who:
- Have taken an AQA qualification since 2024
- Communicate confidently and work independently
- Are passionate about education and its potential to drive change
We also really want to hear from students taking our vocational qualifications, or vocational qualifications with any other exam board, as long as they have sat at least one AQA qualification.
As part of our commitment to improving diversity at AQA, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, particularly those typically underrepresented.
How to apply:
If any of your students are interested, they can find out more about what’s involved on our recruitment website (AQA | Join us | Become a Student Advisor).
They can then apply by submitting a personal statement (max 500 words) by 5.00pm on Monday 22 September 2025 via our Student Advisor recruitment page.
Meetings are held in person at AQA offices across the UK. Travel and accommodation expenses are covered.
Thank you for helping us spread the word.
Kind regards
Anna Trethewey
