Good afternoon,   My name is Dr Heidi Tranter and I work in  digital mental health research  at the  Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust  and the  University of Manchester . As part of my role I coordinate and facilitate a young people’s advisory group called ‘ Youth Connection ’ to help young people (aged 14-24)  develop research skills  and have the opportunity to  contribute to real-time research .     Key points about the group: All facilitators are Enhanced DBS Checked and I have completed NHS Level 3 Child Safeguarding Training Session content will be tailored based on age to make sure this is appropriate  Sessions are delivered both online and face-to-face at the University of Manchester Please note  👉 this opportunity is open to any young person who wants to volunteer NOT JUST DofE, gain experience, and make a difference in mental health research.
